Terms and Conditions
WAIVER:

All participants must sign a liability waiver form prior to entering Hoopla Island.

Children under the age of 18 must have their parent sign in their place.
PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS:

This activity is designed for swimmers. All participants must be able to swim and be comfortable in deep water where they will not be able to touch the lake bottom. Individuals who are not comfortable swimming in deep water should not participate.

The use of a lifejacket is mandatory for all participants. An approved lifejacket is included with admission and will be provided by Hoopla Island. Guests may wear their own lifejacket, subject to approval by our staff.

There is no specific weight limit for participation. Participants must be able to wear a properly fitted lifejacket. We provide lifejackets up to size XXXL. Guests who are unsure whether our lifejackets will fit comfortably are encouraged to bring their own approved lifejacket.

Participants must be at least 6 years of age and a minimum of 1.1 metres (3 ft. 7 in.) tall. Children aged 6–8 years must be accompanied on the park by a paying adult at a ratio of no more than two children per adult. Accompanying adults must be at least 16 years of age.

For safety reasons, individuals who are pregnant, have mobility limitations, are prone to injury, or are currently recovering from an injury should not participate. Participation is at the individual's own risk. Please refer to our waiver for important information regarding the assumption of risk and limitation of liability.

The use or possession of drugs and alcohol is strictly prohibited. Individuals who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to participate and may be denied entry without a refund.

For safety reasons, snorkels, diving masks, and other face-covering aquatic equipment are not permitted on the park. Standard swimming goggles that cover only the eyes are allowed. Any equipment deemed by staff to pose a safety risk may be prohibited at their discretion.
CODE OF CONDUCT

Participants are expected to behave responsibly and safely at all times. Excessive roughhousing, aggressive behaviour, profanity, or conduct that may endanger the safety or enjoyment of others is prohibited. Participants who are removed from the park for violating these rules will not be entitled to a refund.
NO-SHOWS:
-
For 1-hour sessions, you must check-in at the kiosk at least 20 minutes ahead of your scheduled time to allow for payment, rule briefing, and life-jacket fitting. No additional time will be granted for those who enter the Island after the session begins. You are considered a "no-show" if you don't arrive by the time your session starts. Unless we receive prior notice, we reserve the right to replace your spot with others waiting on standby. If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate your situation and fit you in a later spot, so as long as we have availability.

There are no required check-in times for Day and Evening Passes.
LOST AND STOLEN ITEMS

Watches, jewelry, keys, glasses, phones, and other personal accessories should be removed and securely stored before entering the park. These items may be lost, damaged, or create a safety hazard while participating.

Participants are responsible for the security of their personal belongings. Hoopla Island is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property, whether on the beach, within the park, or elsewhere on the premises.
CLOSURES DUE TO UNSAFE WEATHER:

Operations are weather-dependent. For the safety of our guests and staff, Hoopla Island may temporarily suspend or evacuate the park due to lightning, thunder, strong winds, poor air quality (including smoke), heavy rain, medical emergencies, or any other condition that may pose a safety risk.

Activities will resume only when conditions are deemed safe. In the event of lightning or thunder, operations will not resume until at least 30 minutes have passed since the last observed occurrence.

If Hoopla Island must close for the day due to weather or other operational circumstances, affected guests will be notified by email as soon as reasonably possible. Guests are encouraged to check our website and social media channels for updates before travelling to the park when weather conditions are uncertain.

Should Hoopla Island cancel operations for the day, any deposits or prepaid admissions affected by the closure will be refunded in accordance with our Early Closure and Cancellation policies.
EARLY CLOSURE AND COMPENSATION POLICY

If a session is interrupted due to weather, a safety concern, or other operational circumstances, guests may be rescheduled into the next available session where possible.

If rescheduling is not available and Hoopla Island does not anticipate reopening that day, compensation will be provided as follows:
1-Hour Session ands and Evening Passes:
-
Closure within the first 10 minutes of activity: Full refund.
-
Closure after 10 minutes but before 30 minutes: One complimentary 1-hour pass voucher per participant.
-
Closure after 30 minutes but before 55 minutes: One 50%-off 1-hour pass voucher per participant.
-
No compensation will be provided after 55 minutes of a 1-hour session.
-
No compensation will be provided after 90 minutes of an Evening Pass.
Day Passes:

If the park closes for the remainder of the day before 1:00 p.m.: One complimentary Day Pass voucher per participant.
-
If the park closes for the remainder of the day between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.: One 50%-off Day Pass voucher per participant.
-
No compensation will be provided for closures occurring after 3:00 p.m.
Other considerations:
-
Compensations will only occur at the end of the session, unless the site supervisor determines that the session will not re-open.

You must claim your refund directly from the kiosk on the same day of your purchase.

All refunds, credits, and vouchers are issued at the sole discretion of Hoopla Island in accordance with this policy.
CANCELLATION POLICY

A deposit of $5 per participant is required at the time of booking.
-
Deposits are fully refundable if a booking is cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time. If Hoopla Island cancels a session in advance due to weather or other operational circumstances, all deposits will be refunded.

To cancel or reschedule a booking, please contact us by phone or email. If we are unavailable, please leave a detailed voicemail and we will honour the date and time of your message.

Please note that refunds are not processed automatically. Guests who cancel their booking through their online account must contact us directly to request a refund of any eligible deposits.
